Jane Austen, love her or hate her, is the undisputed queen of romance. And by that we do not mean cheesy, soppy modern Romance. We mean classical, smart, heart wrenching, undying love of the kind that is only found in truly great literature.
English novelist Jane Austen (16 December 1775 – 18 July 1817) was quite prolific and her masterpieces include Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park and Emma, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.
Pride and Prejudice may be the most widely read, filmatized and popular and even though one should be different and have another favorite, just because, we too can not get away from its magic. Thus our Janne Austen piece of Art is Pride and Prejudice. After all, who would not want to have the brains, the smart tongue and finally, the man, of Elizabeth Bennett?
